about the work

Jane Sangerman’s Dualis D97 was one of the largest pieces featured in the exhibition Formation from July 15 – November 6 2021. This size allows the viewer to become absorbed in the layers of vibrant color and visual texture. A limited color palette of bright red, neon yellow, and acid green seems to vibrate, causing an optical illusion whereby the colors and patterns buzz against each other.
